I love referrals. When that referral comes in the shapes of a long haired chocolate sausage dog it feels like all my Christmases have come at once.
When we had our consultation about the session, Ralph’s mum explained she was after some pictures with her and Ralph together, and some just of him. I will always encourage people to get in their picture with their pets for some of the pictures. After all, our phones are filled with photos of them, but it can be tricky to get a selfie when you’re both looking your best. Or even just with you both of you looking.
If people ask for advice on what to wear for a session I’ll normally go with the standard advice about plain solid neutral colours. However Ralph and his mum work with Hounds HQ, so I knew they are on the ball with current doggy fashion trends. When I heard they had matching checks I couldn’t have been more thrilled.
With summer being what it is in Perth an early morning shoot seemed like the best option, and luckily both Ralph and his mum are morning people. Ralph is super friendly, but like most puppies, easily distracted. Our early morning start allowed us to get use a couple of great locations before the dogs and their walkers emerged for the day.
We’re getting Ralph back in soon for a studio session so we can chart his development so you can look forward to seeing more of this little super star.
