Social distance

For those of you who have met Smudge, you know he has a few quirks.  He has some favourite people and soem tolerated dogs, but not many.

Smudge is the poster child for social distance.  If you’re a dog, he will tell you when you are getting too close.  And too close is if he can see you.

We’ve tried a number of trainers and techniques to try and help him, but have come to accept him for who he is and pre dawn walks when no one else is around keeps us COVID safe in any case.

People looking at the book often comment that the dogs must be very well behaved which I find hilarious.  But to be fair, Smudge has always been comfortable in front of the camera. Getting him out of the way is more challenging.
